Canadian Angst

Canadians' exultation at winning the Gold in men's Olympic hockey has turned to a deep funk over revelations that a Tim Hortons ad, "based on a true story" is not really er, based on a true story. This has led to a season of quiet yet intense soul-searching among Canadians.

The donuts I've been eating... they're real, aren't they?

Now that you mention it Richard; I'm not sure if Timmies doughnuts are real or not. Shortly after they stopped making them in store I was attacked by a slimy apple fritter. It kind of slid up my arm when I tried to raise it to my mouth. I still have bad dreams and haven't been in a store for quite a while now. Shudder
